A popular ski resort outside the Canadian city of Vancouver has been shut down after two people, including local gang members, were shot dead on Sunday, according to reports.
Alleged gangster Meninder Dhaliwal was seen in the video lying face down in a pool of blood next to a second man. According to the Vancouver Sun.
Sources confirmed to the Vancouver Sun that Dhaliwal died of his injuries.
According to CTV News, citing a police statement, authorities said another person was killed in the shooting. That victim, identified as Sat Gill, was a friend of Dhaliwal’s but had no gang affiliation, the Vancouver Sun reported.

According to CTV News, police said in a statement: “One person died at the scene and the second person died of his injuries at Whistler Medical Clinic.
“The incident happened in the village, in an open field. “Police have not yet determined whether this incident and the recently found burned vehicle are connected, or whether they are related to the ongoing gang conflict.”
A burning car was found near the scene of the shooting.
CTV News also reported that police have arrested two people in connection with the shooting. Witnesses told the Canadian News Agency that a shooting occurred near the Sundial Hotel, and Whistler was trapped for several hours after the shooting.
A local resort, Whistler-Blackcomb, said in a tweet that authorities had cleared the Whistler area of the imminent threat, but the resort “will be closed for the remainder of the day out of respect for all those affected and for our Whistler Blackcomb guests and team members.”
“We are shocked and deeply saddened by this senseless act of violence and support our community.”
Sea to Sky RCMP said in an earlier news release that the shooting happened around 12:19 p.m., but did not say how many victims there were at the time, according to the Vancouver Sun.
“Although this matter is very serious and the investigation is in its infancy, we can say that there is no continuing risk to public safety.”
Meninder Dhaliwal was with his brother Harb last year when he was killed by an assassin outside a Vancouver nightclub. He and another brother, Barinder, were featured in a warning poster of six gangsters blown up by Vancouver police in May 2021.
The Vancouver Sun reports that both men were shot multiple times.
“The photos we are releasing today represent a serious threat to public safety in the City of Vancouver,” Vancouver Police Chief Adam Palmer said at the time.
“Not only do they pose a risk to their friends, family and acquaintances, but they also pose a risk to people they don’t know… every time they go to the gym, go shopping, go to the grocery store, restaurant or bar.”
