On Sunday’s CNN “Reliable Sources” segment, host Brian Stell discussed the fact that Hunter Biden is under federal investigation with guest Michael LaRosa, former press secretary to First Lady Jill Biden.
The conversation started when Stelter quoted a New York Times column by Maureen Dowd. the president will not participate in re-elections. He later led the Justice Department to investigate Hunter’s alleged tax violations and business dealings.
– What about his son? asked Stelter. “What about Hunter? Hunter under federal investigation, the cartoons could come at any moment, this is not just a right-wing media story. This is a real problem for the Bidens.”

“Could he decide not to run again, considering his son? Stelter asked.
“Look, they’re making decisions as a family and they’re going to make that decision when the time comes,” LaRosa responded.
“Do you think they’ve talked about it yet?” Stelter asked.
“No. The president is doing his job, he’s doing his job. He’s not paying attention to that,” LaRosa responded.

“Has the press gotten ahead of the family on this,” Stelter asked.
“Go ahead, way ahead,” LaRosa responded, before repeating that the president “intends to deliver” and urging the press to focus on his “major victories” over the past week.
It was Hunter Biden’s laptop story leading up to the 2020 election declared fake Russian disinformation by dozens of former intelligence officials. Twitter, Facebook and other platforms suppressed the story by preventing people from sharing a link to a New York Post article on the subject.

Recently, media outlets reported on the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop as the president’s son is under federal tax investigation.
