After this news Halo Infinite will no longer get local split-screen co-op, some players have already found a way to use a bug menu.
As reported euro player, @Zeny_IC discovered on Twitter that Xbox Series X/S players can use the bug menu to add three local co-op players to their games. You can check how it works in the tutorial @HaloCreation read the steps below and after the video.

Here are the steps, courtesy of @Zeny_IC and @HaloCreation from Eurogamer:
- Go to the campaign menu and download saves
- Press “Play” and get ready to go to your friends list in no time
- As soon as “Loading map” appears, go to your friend list and join your friend who is empty in the menus.
- After that, you can leave the fire brigade
- In the individual lobby, under server, select “Offline”.
- Now you can connect your other controllers and profiles
- Click the “Play” button.
Obviously, 343 Industries may remove/inadvertently break this feature with future updates, and there’s no guarantee it won’t break your Xbox/delete saves/etc. sofa.
“After testing Series X, menu glitches for playing Halo Infinite campaign split screen still work: no crashes in cutscenes, no issues with AIs, etc.” Halo Creation said. “I never thought I’d have to go through this to play with my friends at home.”
Despite promising the feature, 343 Industries has confirmed that it will no longer be bringing local split-screen co-op to Halo Infinite, as it will instead focus on improving and accelerating “ongoing live service development” and more.
“To improve and accelerate the ongoing development of the live service, and to better address player feedback and quality of life updates, we have reallocated studio resources and are no longer working on local campaign split-screen co-op,” 343 Industries said.
