It’s a Starbucks tradition unlike any other: bringing back the coffee chain’s signature holiday drinks — and celebratory mugs.
Starbucks unveiled its holiday drink menu on Thursday. Classic drinks return to the menu, including the Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Roasted White Chocolate Mocha and Chestnut Praline Latte.
The menu also features the return of seasonal coffees such as the Christmas Blend and the Holiday Blend.
This year marks 25 years of Starbucks holiday cups, which were introduced in 1997. The company will introduce four new mugs to kick off the holiday season.
“We’ve always talked about the cups as little gifts, and we hope they feel like a holiday gift for our customers and store partners,” Starbucks creative director Gary Jacobson said in a statement.

The coffee giant said it has created four celebratory cups to commemorate 25 years of celebratory cups.
Gift-wrapped magic. “Wavy ribbons and twinkling glitter” red and green mugs are reminiscent of gift wrapping.
Frosty Sparkle. This mint green mug features starbursts and diamond shapes.
The Miracle of Ornament. The standard white Starbucks cup gets a festive makeover with a pattern of holiday symbols like ornaments and Christmas trees.
Comfortable evergreen. This bright red mug features a pattern of white Christmas trees.
What’s on the Starbucks Holiday Menu?
This year’s menu will feature the return of several standout drinks, including Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Roasted White Chocolate Mocha and Irish Cream Cold Brew. Starbucks will also be bringing back the Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte after introducing it last year.
Debuting this year is the Chocolate Pistachio Swirl, described by Starbucks as “a creamy chocolate filling with notes of cinnamon and coffee that turns buttery.”

What about Red Cup Day 2022?
Starbucks has yet to confirm when it will host this year’s event Red Cup Daywhen a coffee chain gives away a reusable, limited-edition red mug with a holiday or fall drink order.
Last year’s Red Cup Day was held in November. 18, two weeks after Starbucks introduced its holiday drink menu.
